Students, alumni, teachers, all them folks were cheerin’ and hollerin’, I bet.
Bowie State, that’s a school in Maryland. Got a whole bunch of young’uns goin’ there, learnin’ and such. More than five thousand of ’em, I heard. They say it ain’t easy to get in, but most folks that try, they make it. Eighty-four percent, somethin’ like that.
Them Bulldogs, they ain’t just about football, though. They got all sorts of sports. Basketball, for the boys and the girls. Track and field, runnin’ and jumpin’. Softball, for the girls.
