Alright, let’s talk about that time I checked out the Carpediem Roma Golf Club. I’d heard some good things and seen a few pictures, so I was pretty excited to go see it for myself. It’s supposed to be this cool spot just outside the craziness of Rome, so I figured, why not?
First off, I booked a room there. I mean, it’s a hotel, or more like an “aparthotel” from what I gathered. So, they’ve got rooms and some other stuff like a spa and a restaurant, which sounded pretty sweet. And guess what? They offer free Wi-Fi, which is always a plus in my book. After I set up everything online, I packed my bags. Mostly golf gear, of course, but also some regular tourist stuff because, you know, when in Rome…
Getting there was straightforward. It’s located at Via di Marco Simone, 80. So, I took an Uber, because, apparently, the place has free parking if you drive. But the resort is supposed to be close to some of Rome’s big attractions, just that I didn’t care about them. Anyway, the ride over was smooth, and I got my first glimpse of the place. It looked really nice from the outside, kind of like a fancy getaway spot you see in movies.
When I checked in, the staff were super friendly. They helped me with my bags and showed me to my apartment. And let me tell you, the place was awesome. Really spacious, with a great view of the golf course. I could already tell this was going to be a good trip. They even arranged a late check out for me and helped with airport transfers, which was super convenient.
- Checked out the golf course:
Obviously, the main reason I was there was for the golf. So, I spent most of my time on the course. It’s a really well-kept course, with some challenging holes but nothing too crazy. I’m not a pro or anything, but I had a lot of fun playing there. Plus, the scenery is just beautiful. You’re surrounded by all this greenery, and it’s so peaceful. They even arranged tee times at Marco Simone for me, which was a nice touch.
- Tried out the other amenities:
I didn’t just play golf, though. I also checked out the spa, which was really relaxing. They have all sorts of treatments, and the staff there know what they’re doing. I felt like a new man afterward. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, though, so I can’t say anything about that.
In the evenings, I usually just chilled in my room or walked around the grounds. It’s a really nice place to just unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Final Thoughts
So, yeah, that was my experience at the Carpediem Roma Golf Club. I went in not really knowing what to expect, and I came out really impressed. It’s a great place to stay if you’re into golf, obviously, but even if you’re not, it’s still a really nice spot to relax and get away from it all. The staff are great, the rooms are awesome, and the location is perfect. It’s close enough to Rome that you can easily go and explore the city, but it’s far enough away that you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of all the chaos.
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay near Rome. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple, or even a family, I think you’ll have a great time there. Just remember to book in advance, especially if you’re planning to go during the peak season, and you will be good.
