Okay, so I’ve been getting into collecting baseball cards lately, and I recently decided to try my luck with a 2021 Panini Prizm Baseball box. I picked one up online. The box number is 238. Let me tell you, it was quite the experience!
Unboxing the Cards
First off, I opened the package when it arrived. It had a nice design, pretty colorful. I took out the actual box of cards, and I could feel the weight of it in my hands. I was excited! I carefully opened the box itself, and inside were all these packs of cards, all shiny and new. I grabbed a pack, tore it open, and started flipping through the cards.
Finding Some Gems
I went through pack after pack, and man, there were some cool cards in there! I found some rookie cards of players I recognized, which was awesome. I also pulled a few shiny parallel cards – those are the ones that have a different finish than the regular base cards. They looked really sweet.
Organizing My Cards
After I opened all the packs, I laid out all the cards to see what I got. It was a bit of a mess at first. So I started organizing them. I put all the base cards in one pile, the rookies in another, and the parallels and inserts in their own separate piles. It took some time, but it was kind of satisfying to see them all neatly sorted. For the insert cards, I have:
- 2021 Draft Picks
- Emergent
- Fireworks
- Lumber Inc.
- Prizm
Checking Card Values
Then, I got curious about the value of some of these cards. I looked up some of the bigger names online, just to see if I had pulled anything particularly valuable. I found a few that were worth a decent amount, which was a nice surprise! Most of them weren’t worth much, but it was still fun to look them up and learn a bit more about the players and the cards.
Storing My Collection
Finally, I needed a way to store all these cards safely. I had some old card sleeves and a binder lying around, so I started putting the more valuable or interesting cards into the sleeves and then into the binder. That way, they’re protected from getting bent or damaged. For the rest of them, I just put them back in the box they came in for now. I might get some more storage supplies later on.
Overall, it was a pretty fun experience opening that 2021 Panini Prizm Baseball box. I didn’t get any crazy valuable cards, but I got some cool ones to add to my collection, and I learned a lot in the process. I think I’ll definitely be doing this again sometime soon!
