Well, lookie here, you wanna know ’bout the Penn State baseball schedule, huh? Alright, alright, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy talk though, I ain’t got time for that.
So, this Penn State baseball team, they got a bunch of games lined up. They call it a “schedule,” like it’s some kinda important document. I just call it a list of when them boys are gonna be hittin’ balls and runnin’ around.
Now, where do they play? Well, some games are at home, you know, at Penn State. Some are away, meaning they gotta travel. And then sometimes, they play at some neutral place, don’t belong to nobody, I guess. Makes sense, right?
I heard they didn’t do so good last year, won some, lost some. They say they wanna do better this year. Good for them, I say. Everyone wants to do better, ain’t that the truth? They got a fella, head coach or somethin’, he’s probably yellin’ at them to run faster and hit harder. That’s what them coaches do.
What about the games themselves? Well, they play a whole bunch of teams. I seen some names, Kent State, that’s one. Big Ten teams, whatever that means. Sounds important though. They got somethin’ called “conference games,” seems like those are a big deal. Probably bragging rights or somethin’.
They keep track of all sorts of numbers, you know, like how many runs they score, how many times they hit the ball, and how many times they get out. They call it “batting average” and all sorts of other things. Too much for my old brain, I tell ya. I just wanna know if they win or lose.
And they got these dates, you know, when they play. They even got times. Like, “2 PM on a Tuesday.” Who plays baseball at 2 PM on a Tuesday? Don’t they got work to do? Oh well, that’s their business, I guess.
- They got home games, gotta make sure the field is nice and pretty for those.
- Away games, pack your bags boys, you’re hittin’ the road.
- Neutral games, nobody’s got the home field advantage there. Just play ball!
They got this thing called “Senior Day”. Sounds special. Probably for the older fellas, the ones who been playin’ a long time. Maybe they give ‘em flowers or somethin’. I dunno.
This year, they wanna do better than last year. They wanna win more games, I reckon. That’s the goal, ain’t it? To win. Nobody wants to be a loser. And I hear they ain’t been to some kinda tournament in a long time, since 2012 or somethin’. They wanna go back there, I guess. More power to ‘em.
They got a website, you know, where they put all this information. You can find the whole schedule there, if you’re into that kinda thing. I ain’t got no computer, so I just hear things from my grandkids. They’re always on them phones, lookin’ at stuff.
So, that’s the gist of it. Penn State baseball, they got a schedule, they play games, they wanna win. Simple as that. Don’t need no fancy words to understand it. They hit the ball, they run around, and hopefully, they score more runs than the other team. That’s baseball, ain’t it?
Where can you find this schedule? Well, like I said, they got that website. And I heard they put it on posters sometimes, you know, around town. And the newspapers, they probably print it too. But who reads newspapers anymore? It’s all on them phones now, I tell ya.
Anyway, I hope that helped ya understand this Penn State baseball schedule thing. It ain’t rocket science, just a bunch of games they gotta play. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about baseball made me hungry.
