Okay, so today I tried to look up this guy, Chris Rivard, who I heard was a pretty good golfer. I just typed his name into the search engine, you know, “Chris Rivard golfer,” just to see what would pop up.
First off, I started skimming through the search results. There were a bunch of pages, some about tournaments he played in, some just listing his scores. I clicked on a couple of these, just trying to get a general idea of how good he actually is. Seems like he’s played in some big-time amateur events, which is pretty cool.
Digging Deeper
Then I figured I’d check out some news articles or something, see if anyone had written about him. I found a couple of local newspaper pieces, nothing too fancy, but they gave me a bit more background. Apparently, he’s from around here, which is kind of neat.
After that, I went down a bit of a rabbit hole, you know how it goes. I started looking at some of the tournaments he played in, checking out the leaderboards. I don’t really know much about golf scoring, but I could see he was placing pretty high up in a lot of these.
- Checked his scores in various tournaments.
- Read a few articles about his performance.
- Compared his scores to other players.
Finally, I thought, why not see if he’s on social media or something? So I searched for his name there. Turns out he doesn’t have a public profile or any pages that I could find. But there are some posts about him from others so I checked those out for a bit. It was mostly just people congratulating him on wins and stuff. He seems pretty private. But, hey, from what I gathered today, Chris Rivard seems like a seriously good golfer, even if he is just an amateur!
